About

A CPA firm built around clear answers

Mason Accounting has worked with small and medium-sized organizations since 2016 — from companies just getting started to those approaching the point of hiring internally. We handle the financial side so leadership can focus on running the organization.

Approach

We become part of the team.

Most organizations do not need more financial data. They need someone who understands the operation, keeps the records accurate, and is available when a decision is on the table.

That is the role we take. We set up the accounting foundation, close the books on a schedule, plan taxes through the year, and stay in the conversation as things change — hiring, financing, expansion, transitions.

Our office is in downtown Spokane. We work with organizations across the country and use technology to keep the process efficient regardless of location.

Philosophy

How we work, specifically.

Clarity over volume

A shorter report that someone reads and uses beats a thick one that nobody opens. We present what matters and keep the detail available underneath.

Answers, not options

When you ask what to do, you get a recommendation and the reasoning. Where the decision is genuinely yours, we say so and frame the trade-off.

Work done before the deadline

Planning happens during the year. Filings are prepared with time to review. Deadlines are the end of the process, not the start of it.

Relationships measured in years

We take on clients we expect to work with for a long time, and we scale the engagement as the organization changes.

What size organizations do you work with?

Small and medium-sized organizations — from those just getting started through those approaching the point of hiring an internal CFO.

We're not a business. Can you do our taxes?

Yes. As a CPA firm we prepare and plan income taxes for individuals as well as organizations.

How can we reduce what we pay in taxes?

Every situation is different. We review your circumstances against a detailed list of planning opportunities and tell you which ones actually apply to you.

We're not local to Spokane. Can you still be our accountant?

Yes. We work with organizations across the U.S. and have systems in place that make remote work straightforward.

We're not sure what we need. Can we talk it through?

Yes. If we're not the right fit, we have a network of other CPAs and professionals we'll refer you to.

Ready for less hassle and clearer financial results?

Tell us what your organization needs. We’ll tell you plainly whether we can help, what it would cost, and what happens first.
